Behaviour Support Assistant
Overview
In this role you will uphold the Oakwood school values by contributing to the strategies which lead to improved learning and behaviour for students.
Work with pupils across the school who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and/or demonstrate challenging behaviour.
Personal attributes
The person appointed will perform the following key roles:
- Provide proactive and reactive behaviour support for individuals and small groups
- To provide in class support for students with additional learning and behaviour needs
- To be familiar with a range of behaviour management strategies, to actively support teachers in behaviour management and be able to reinforce agreed expectations when working with pupils
- To personalise teaching resources and strategies to meet the needs of an individual or a small group
- To act upon guidance of the SENCO/SLT and other professionals
- To work effectively as part of a team in addressing the needs of pupils
- To supervise play and provide structured playtime learning opportunities
- Other duties as reasonably assigned by the Headteacher
Salary & Benefits
Grade 6 FTE - £28,792
